POLICY STATEMENT COMMITMENT: The Management of Elandel Global Services Ltd regards the promotion of Safety and Environmental Protection as a mutual obligation for Management and Employees at all levels. It is therefore the Company’s Policy to do all that is possible to prevent injury to personnel, damage to property and pollution to the environment and to protect everyone from work hazards and occupational illnesses in the course of company’s activities.
ORGANISATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Managing Director/ Chief Executive shall be responsible for the overall Safety and Environmental Protection matters in the company.
Health Safety & Environmental staff in Elandel offices are responsible for providing advice and guidance on matters relating to the safety and health of employees as well as environmental protection.
The Chief Operating Officer is the focal point for all company matters on Safety and Environmental Protection and will:
- Provide training and instructions to enable employees perform their work safety and efficiently.
- Make available all necessary Health, Safety, Fire and Environmental Protection equipment and ensure their use.
- Conduct all our activities in line with the requirements of our Health, Safety & Environmental Standards.
Employees are responsible for ensuring they work safely and efficiently using the protective equipment provided and comply with all relevant safety regulations to prevent injury to themselves, their colleagues and the environment.
COMMITMENT:
To meet our Policy Statement, Elandel Global Services Ltd will:
- Ensure that our personnel working in client’s locations comply strictly with the client’s Health, Safety and Environmental Protection Regulations.
- Ensure that appropriate measures are established in order to achieve expected safety performance and cooperate with all clients in identifying health & safety issues during the planning and execution of work.
- Follow clients established lines of communication at all levels of supervision, such that safe work practices are understood and implemented by all parties.
- Require all employees and contractors to attend periodic Health, Safety and Environmental programs.
- Provide employees trained and qualified to do the specific work safely and will endeavor to meet pertinent regulatory requirements. • Ensure that we never fail to meet our obligations to adequately advice, train, equip and protect our employees in any work place in order to avert health and safety dangers in clients’ operations.
